  • Gabrielle Castillo: CCPCJ

    Heyy Delegates!! I am ecstatic to be the CCPCJ chair for CSMUN XVII! I am currently a sophomore at Carl Sandburg, and this will be my first time chairing. In school, I am a member of HOSA, swim gaurd, our schools phillharmonic orchestra, and the soccer team! In my free time, I’m usually baking, practicing soccer, hanging out with friends, or training for the ISKC as I am a member of over 10 years! I cannot wait to hear all of your unique solutions, as I am so excited to debate and have fun. See you all in October, happy prepping!

  • Anjali Balagani: DISEC

    Hey delegates!! My name is Anjali Balagani and I’m so excited to be your chair for DISEC this year! I am currently a sophomore at Carl Sandburg High School, and this is my second year in Model UN. Outside of MUN, I play tennis and badminton, and I’m involved in International Fest as well as volunteering in my community. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, singing, and staying active. I can’t wait to see you all at CSMUN XVII and wish you the best of luck!

  • Jack Komperda: ECOFIN

    Hello delegates, my name is Jack Komperda and I am going to be your chair for ECOFIN at CSMUN XVII. I am currently a sophomore at Sandburg. This is my 2nd year in mun and my first time chairing. Outside of mun I’m part of many activities such as swim, water polo, and band. When I’m not in school you can find me at the pool, hanging out with friends, or playing video games with my brother.     Hello everyone! My name is Mona Abrahimian and I can’t wait to be your chair in ECOSOC for CSMUN XVII ! In my free time, I love to go outside, play tennis, and shop with my friends! I am currently a sophomore, at Carl Sandburg, and this is my second year doing Model UN. I cannot wait to see all of your creative ideas, and I am so proud that you have decided to put time and effort into this conference. Whether it is your first year participating in Model UN or your last, I hope this will be a memorable experience for you all! I’ll see you in committee!

  • Rayann Askar: FAO

    Hey delegates! I’m Rayann Askar serving as your Chair for this committee. In school, aside from academics, I make sure that I find time to participate in activities such as competing in badminton, participating in the Key Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Empowering Leaders Program. Furthermore, I am a member of HOSA where I get the opportunity to discover more about the healthcare field with my friends. Whenever I find time outside of school, I either ride my bike or just chill at home with my cats. Among the things that I really enjoy doing to relax is reading books or watching movies depending on my mood, whether they are scary and documentary films or even comedies.     Hello delegates! My name is Leo Biesty and I am excited to be chairing Interpol at CSMUN this year. I am currently a sophomore at Sandburg and this is my second year in MUN. Outside of MUN, I play tennis at Sandburg and I am involved in other clubs. In my free time, I love golfing, watching sports, and playing tennis.     What’s up delegates!!! My name is Rana Sahoury and I am honored as well as super hyped to be chairing the SIF(Sustainable Innovative Forum) committee. I am a Senior @ CSHS,this is my fourth year in MUN serving as a Senior Executive member,it is also my second year chairing. Outside of MUN I spend a lot of time hanging out with family and friends,I am also super into politics,music,reading and of course shopping.     Hi delegates! My name is Lilly Kubowicz and I’m so excited to be your chair for SOCHUM at CSMUN XVll! I am currently a sophomore and this is my second year doing Model UN. This conference is extra special because it will be my first time chairing. Outside of Model UN I play club and school lacrosse. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and trying new food spots, especially in the city. I also love shopping, playing tennis, and reading when I’m not with my friends, or watching new movies and shows.   • Ainslee Beaty: UN Women

    Hello, Delegates! My name is Ainslee Beaty, and I am stoked to be chairing UN Women in the 17th CSMUN conference. This year I am a sophomore at Carl Sandburg High School and I have participated in Model UN for two years. UN Women is one of my favorite committees and it's a dream to chair it. Outside of Model UN, I am also involved in the Marching Band, co-captain of the soccer team, Scholastic Bowl, CORE Club, and the school newspaper/literary magazine. In my free time I love to hang out with my friends, read, write, run, and walk my dogs, Henry and Mabel (Mabel is in the photo).     Hello delegates! My name is Yoon Lee and I am super excited to be your chair for UNCLOS at CSMUN XVII. I am currently a sophomore at Sandburg and this will be my second year of MUN and my first year chairing. Other than MUN, I love doing other activities like HOSA and I’m on the tennis team and the district hockey team. Once again, I’m really looking forward to our committee.   • Cruz Arroyo: UNCSTD

    Hi Delegates! My name is Cruz Arroyo and I am super excited to be chairing UNCSTD at this year’s CSMUN XVI conference! I am a sophomore at Carl Sandburg High School. Some of my favorite MUN experiences have been at intense conferences like Northwestern and DePaul, and I love the invaluable communication and leadership skills this club offers. Outside of MUN, I am passionate about technology and founded our Cyber Defense Society, which competes in the AFA CyberPatriot. You can also find me playing soccer or wrestling, where I'm aiming for the IWCOA Fresh/Soph state championship this year! For UNCSTD, I hope to see strong diplomacy, creativity, and critical problem-solving as we tackle quantum computing standards and data center footprints.     Hey Delegates!! My name is Luna Ibraheem. I’m so excited to be chairing UNHCR for CSMUN XVII. I’m currently a Junior at Carl Sandburg High School and this is my 3rd year in Model UN and my 1st time chairing! Outside of Model UN I serve as a leader for Sandburg’s Christian Club and participate in CORE Club. I also play Badminton in the spring!     Hi delegates! My name is Olivia Wehlus but you can call me Liv and I’m so excited to be your chair in UNHRC for CSMUN XVII! I’m currently a sophomore and this is my second year doing MUN but my first time chairing. Outside of model UN my time is taken up playing volleyball for club and school. I also love running in my free time and hanging out with my friends and sisters. I love to shop, go out and dress up for any occasion.     Hiiii!! My name is Lily Jacquez and I’m a junior at Sandburg! I’m so excited to be chairing UNICEF and serving as a usg of GA this year! Aside from MUN I run cross country and track and participate in clubs such as I-Fest and IYNA! I love meeting new people, going out with friends and listening to music(usually sza)!     Hi delegates! My name is Alice Becker, and I’m so excited to be your UNOOSA chair for CSMUN XV|| this year! I am currently a sophomore here at Sandburg, and this is my first year chairing, but second year in model un! Outside of MUN, I play tennis year round, and I run track! Other than that, I love spending my time shopping at the mall, listening to music, or (when it’s warm out) going in my pool! Like I said, I’m so excited to be your chair, and let’s have some out of this world experiences!

    Hi Delegates!!! My name is Olivia Bates and I am so excited to be this year’s chair for WHO! I am currently a junior at Sandburg and this will be my second year in ModelUN. Additionally, I am excited to be serving as USG of General Assemblies! Asides from mun, I am in a bunch of activities such as Med Club, IYNA, CORE, and Student Council. Outside of school I love dance, hanging out with my friends, shopping, playing with my cats, and working at Chipotle!     Hi delegates! I’m Aoibheann and I’m so excited to be your chair for WOAH this year. I’m currently a sophomore at Sandburg and this year is my second in Model UN, and my first year chairing! In my free time I volunteer at NAWS and Northwestern Hospital, I also worked for a Union this past summer. At Sandburg I am also involved in the CORE club, play badminton, and participate in the music program here! Other than that you usually would find me reading, or baking with friends. I cannot wait to meet all of you guys at CSMUN XVII!

  • Anna Harbut: Attack on Titan

    Hey delegates! My name is Anna Harbut and I’m so excited to be your chair for Attack on Titan at CSMUN XVII. Attack on Titan has been my favorite show since 2020, and I can’t wait to see what solutions you guys come up with! I’m currently a senior at Sandburg, and have been in Model UN for four years, this being my second time chairing. Outside of MUN, I participate in sports like track and cross country, as well as clubs such as Interact Club, International Club, Student Council, NHS, and more. In my free time, I love listening to music, watching shows, eating, running, and hanging out with friends. I’m also very involved in Polish culture, as I do Polish dance and just graduated from Polish school. I’m looking forward to meeting you all this October, good luck!!

  • Bridget Vaughan: Brooklyn 99

    Hi delegates! My name is Bridget Vaughan, and I am so excited to be chairing the Brooklyn 99 committee for CSMUN XVII! I am a junior here at Sandburg and this is my second year in MUN. Outside of MUN I am involved in many different extracurriculars such as softball, medclub, student council, athletic training and I teach swim lessons. When I am not in school I love to spend time with my friends, travel and go shopping. I look forward to this committee and am so excited to hear all of your creative solutions!   • Hisham Hamdan: FIFA

    Hello delegates! My name is Hisham Hamdan and I will be your chair for the FIFA committee in CSMUN XVII. I was a DIAS for this committee last year, though this will be my first year actually chairing, and I can’t wait to see you all soon! Outside of MUN, I do camera & editing work for my local mosque, am involved with Med club & MSA, enjoy playing sports (namely soccer of course), and I enjoy spending quality time with family. This committee, I hope, will not be too strict and serious - as a chair I am looking for delegates who know their position enough to show personality in their speeches while still showing understanding of their position (think statistics, problems, solutions, your stance, etc). Overall I think this will be a great committee and I can’t wait to see all of you in the fall!

  • Mia Franzese: Hamilton

    Hey delegates!! My name is Mia Franzese and I am super excited to be your Hamilton chair this year at CSMUN! I am a senior here at Sandburg and this is my third year in Model Un and my first year chairing! I’ve been a huge Hamilton fan for years so I can’t wait to be your chair! Outside of Model UN I am a part of our softball team as well as many clubs such as our PEOPEL program!     Hey delegates! My name is Maddie Kasmer and I’m so excited to be chairing the International Congress of Women-1915 this year! I am currently a junior and this is my third year doing Model UN and my second time chairing! Outside of Model UN I participate in a variety of extracurriculars at Sandburg such as Flag Football, Badminton and Symphony Orchestra!   • Suhail Roussi: JFK Cabinet During the Cuban Missile Crisis

    Hello delegates! My name is Suhail Roussi, and I'm truly honored to serve as your chair for the JFK Cabinet During The Cuban Missile Crisis. I am currently a junior, and I have been in Model UN for a year. I have always had a deep curiosity for history and politics, which is a big reason as to why I chose to chair this committee. Outside of MUN, I partake in other clubs such as investment club and MSA. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, hanging out with family and friends, volunteering, and working out.   • Emme Ko: UNGA: 1960’s, the Declaration of Decolonization

    Hi delegates! I’m Emme Ko and I’m thrilled to be chairing Historical GA 1960’s: the Declaration of Decolonization. I’m a Sophomore in Carl Sandburg, playing for the JV Tennis team, the badminton team, being an executive member in Asian Student Association, and participating in ifest. In my freetime, I love playing instruments and hanging out with my friends in the city, as well as playing other sports like pickleball and skiing.     Hey delegates! My name is Benjamin Young, and I am excited to be chairing our Crisis UNSC this year. I am a sophomore at Sandburg and this is my second year in CSMUN. Outside of Model UN I am a competitive skier, and I also play soccer, baseball and track. I play cello for a few different groups and I am learning sports photography.     Heyy Delegates!! My name is Nehaal Moazzam and I am so excited to be your chair for World Cities Summit this year at CSMUN XVII! I am a senior at Sandburg and this is my fourth year in MUN, three years in CSMUN. This is my second year chairing and I cannot wait to see the talent this year! Other than MUN, I also am in a lot of activities, but my favorites are I-fest, BPA, Speech. In my free time, I really enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling and going on walks.   • Joaquin Cinco: ADHOC

    Hello everyone my names Joaquin Cinco and I’ll be the chair for your ADHOC committee this year at CSMUN. I’m currently a Junior at Sandburg and this will be my 2nd time chairing a committee. Although this will be my first time chairing an ADHOC, it’s also going to be one of the first conferences of the year for most of y’all, so I hope this serves as a great learning experience for anyone willing to try an ADHOC. But outside of MUN I do ASA, Ifest and a lot of other clubs. Outside of school I love hanging out with friends, watching TV, taking photos, listening to music and going on random sidequests.   • Shafik Yasin: CIA vs Cartel Drug Wars

    Hello delegates! My name is Shafik Yasin and I am extremely happy to be chairing CIA vs Cartel Drug Wars! I am a junior here at Sandburg and this is my first time chairing CSMUN and second year overall in MUN. Outside of MUN I am a member of Sandburg’s wrestling team and have been wrestling since I was 12. Furthermore I am a member of Investment club and I formerly played football and track. Outside of school I spend a lot of my time in the gym as well as playing basketball or other sports with my friends. This committee is such an honor for me to chair, as I have a fond interest in real world dilemmas and I love to hear other peoples opinions on them. Can’t wait to see you there!

    Hi delegates, my name is Matthew Spinella and I will be your chair for the College football committee of CSMUN XVII. I am a sophomore at Carl Sandburg High School and this is my second year doing MUN. I am also participate in lacrosse, investment club, and environment club.     Hey delegates! I'm Avery Allen, a current Junior at Sandburg, and I'm so excited to be chairing this year at CSMUN. This will be my 3rd year in MUN, and my 2nd year chairing. Here at Sandburg, I'm involved in gymnastics and tennis, as well as being the junior class president and a part of Mu Alpha Theta. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends, being active, and trying fun new things! For this commitee, I'm looking for creative and exciting ideas, as I'm a huge Harry Potter fan myself. I am currently a Junior at Sandburg and this is my third year of MUN, but second year chairing.     Yoo delegates, and welcome to JCC Sorority! My name is Niko Korolis, and I’m super excited to serve as your chair. I am currently a junior at Sandburg, and this will be my first time chairing a committee. Outside of Model UN, I’m involved in The soccer team and ifest. In my time outside school, I enjoy going for runs, playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and playing with my dog.     Hey delegates! Welcome to CSMUN XVII. My name is Yusif Ali and I am thrilled to be your chair for Rolling Loud! I am a junior at Sandburg and this will be my second time chairing. Outside of school, I do MMA, but you’ll also find me at the gym or taking fit pics. I enjoy movies, finding new places to eat, and shopping.   • Adam Zaranski: Star Wars The Clone Wars: Rise Of The Empire

    Hey Delegates! Welcome to CSMUN XVI, My name is Adam Zaranski and im super excited to be chairing Star Wars The Clone Wars: Rise Of The Empire!!! I am a junior currently at Carl Sandburg High-school and this is my 3rd year of MUN at our school. Outside of school I love hanging out with my friends and playing video games on my modified PC, I also like to go for runs/hikes when its hot out. In my free time I bingewatch police body cam footage and go to the movies. I expect everyone in my committee to come well versed in the lore behind the republic and its fall along with reaserch done about the empire and its rise to power.     Hello delegates! I’m Finn O’Connor, and I am thrilled to be your chair for The War of the Alphabet. I am a junior at Carl Sandburg High School, and this is my third year in Model UN. I have been in Crisis for both years of my MUN career. Outside of MUN, I do golf, dive, and track for Sandburg. I am a three sport athlete, so I have a lot on my plate, but I always find time for MUN. It’s a great club, and I’m excited to chair again. I also like to listen to music, run, and enjoy hanging out with my friends.
